A close and hard fought game a real team effort , id hoped that on this road of a wkt wed take the option and hope are strength which is bowling would limit old basing to possible 170 as a target. both opening bowlers took a few overs to settle down , although the run rate was a bit slow , once Ankit and Ben were rested i think we found a good combo of Hasssan and Raj . Raj bowled a 7 ov spell for 14 and Hassan bowled the opener.

Trevor came on in the 25th over and bowled 4 overs for 5 runs. Ben returned and Ankit with Hassan at the death with simon filling in 1 over for 4. Ankits 10 overs 2 for 24. Hassan 10 ov 2 53 and bens 10 overs 0 53 runs. old basing had to put on a late charge in the last 10 overs to claw themselfs to 161 for 4 in 42 overs a good effort by crown.
TEA INTERVAL

Hassan and Emmo opened against a good med fast seamer with spin from the bottom end taking Emmo out quick with a little extra bounce , Emile joined Hassan who played his shots putting crown just ahead of the rate with Emile applying himself well for the team.

Hassan going caught at a deep extra cover , Emile dug in with Dave deb , until Emile went caught for 21 clipping into mid wkt , shortly later Dave going for 16
jez 9 and simon 8 added a hand full , leaving a fair bit to be done enter Nicks man Andy Rees on a mission who took on the attack with a fine 4 followed by a big 6 over long on with Andy and Raj attacking until Raj went for a good 11 , Rees bringing his team closer with Ben dingle , until Andy went for a very good 23 with 15 needed and nearly 7 overs left it was all about the 2 wkts we had left.
we chipped away but with 4 overs to go Ben tore into the leg spinner and with 3 x4s off his over we won by 2 wkts with 3 overs to spare with Ben ending 20 n/0.

This game was a real team effort with many contributions and Hassan played a good hand with a vital 30 , backed up by a 23 , 21 , 20 and a 16. crowns bowlers gave us this chance and although there was no stand out player id give my man of the match to
RAJ I THINK HE BOWLED A LOVELY SPELL OF 7 OV FOR 14 , INJURING HIS LEG BUT STILL FIELDING WELL AND ADDING SOME REAL IMPETUOUS INTO A LATE CHARGE.
